The technical sessions, conducted by Dinesh De Silva, a logistics expert with over 25 years of experience in international trade, provided in-depth insights into several key topics, including identifying export orders and buyers, an introduction to logistics fundamentals, choosing the appropriate transport mode (sea or air freight), selecting a freight forwarder and key considerations, pre- and post-shipping documentation, risks in international trade, and real-life case studies from the export industry.
Participants actively engaged in discussions and shared their experiences, making the workshop highly interactive. A Q&A session allowed attendees to seek clarifications and discuss the practical challenges they faced in export logistics. Attendees praised the workshop for its practical approach and relevance to the export industry.
