The Export Development Board (EDB) on 27-08-2018 announced the relaunch of the ‘1000 start-up’ initiative, an effort taken towards diversifying Sri Lanka’s export basket and market.

Sri Lanka Association of Printers (SLAP) regularly organizes regional seminars in outstation cities targeting the printers in the category of Small and Medium Enterprisesas well as the prospective youth who are interested in starting their career in printing industry. The regional seminar of the 3rdquarter of the year organized by Sri Lanka Association of Printers (SLAP) was held on Saturday, 18th August 2018, at “Saketha MeduraHotel”, Gampaha. The seminar was a huge success and over 60 printersin medium and small enterprise categories, in Gampaha district and over 50 youth who were interested in joining the printing industry attended seminar.
The 15th Exporters’ Forum chaired by State Minister of International Trade Sujeewa Senasinghe was held on Tuesday 14 August at the EDB Auditorium.

Sri Lankan companies have gained more than 28 business leads, about 15 business alliances, joint venture opportunities coupled with market exposure, and studying new trends in technology and innovation by participating in the exposure visit cum business matchmaking programs to Malaysia and Singapore for the electronics and electrical sector organised by Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with High Commissions of Sri Lanka in Malaysia and Singapore from 16-21 July.
