The Sri Lanka Association of Non-State Higher Education Institutes (SLANSHEI) held its Annual General Meeting on 22nd March 2024 at Waters Edge, Battaramulla.
The UK Trade Partnership Programme project in Sri Lanka, funded by the Government of the United Kingdom and implemented by the International Trade Centre (ITC), aims to promote exports by facilitating access to markets, providing technical advisory services to SMEs, and strengthening business support organizations.
The merchandise export performance in February 2024 amounted to US$ 983.7 million, recorded a modest increase of 0.17 % compared to February 2023. Furthermore, export performance in February 2024 increased by 1.3% compared to the preceding month, January 2024.
The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Industries and Department of Commerce organized a seminar on “Exploring Opportunities and Implications of the Sri Lanka-Thailand Free Trade Agreement" at the Auditorium of Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) on 29th February, 2024 for Sri Lankan exporters.
The merchandise export performance in January 2024 amounted to US$ 970.7 million, recorded a 0.77 % decline compared to January 2023.
The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Embassy in UAE and the Sri Lanka Consulate General in Dubai made arrangements to organize Sri Lanka participation at 30th edition of the Dubai International Boat Show (DBIS) held from 28th February – 03rd March 2024 in Dubai, UAE.
