The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) yesterday said the National Export Strategy (NES) it has designed in collaboration with the export sector stakeholders is ready to be presented to the Cabinet of Ministers for approval.

The Export Development Board (EDB) announced that ‘wellness tourism’ would be added to the export basket from this year onwards, setting an initial $ 2 million target for the sector.
Notwithstanding the global trade decline and sanctions, Sri Lanka has set an ambitious export earning target of $17.4 billion by the end of this year, with 29% of the total target being achieved in the first four months.
