The Sri Lanka Export Development Board under the directive of the Hon. Malik Samarawickrama, Minister of Development Strategies & International Trade arranged a successful inward delegation from Pakistan following the research done by EDB in 2017 on new opportunities in Pakistan, the 2nd largest economy in South Asia. This mission also focused on maximizing trade under the Pakistan Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (PSFTA) to achieve the export earnings of US$ 20 million in 2020.

The Export Development Board (EDB) organised a seminar for the electronics and electrical sector exporters and potential exporters in Sri Lanka to make them aware on the recent developments of the industry and the market linkages and trade and tariff concessions in identified regional markets. About 35 participants from the electronics and electrical sector attended this seminar held at the EDB.
Sri Lanka Electronics Manufacturers and Exporters Association (SLEMEA), in collaboration with Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) recently organised a business conference for the Sri Lankan electronics and electrical industry to highlight the importance of the sector in the export market.
