The 2017 edition of the annual World Export Development Forum (WEDF) kicks off today in Budapest, Hungary under the theme ‘Trade – A Force for Good: Include, Innovate, Integrate’.

The rubber products industry is a key industry contributing 6.9 % to total exports (2016). Sri Lanka produces a wide variety of rubber products and the major markets are the US, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Canada, the UK and Brazil.
Sri Lanka Plast 2016, the main exhibition with focus on plastics processing and Rubexpo focused on manufacturing of rubber related products and services is scheduled to take place from 5 to 7 August at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo.
This would be the third edition of the event taking place in Sri Lanka which is organised by Enterprising Fairs (India) Ltd. The event will be organised together with The Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL) and supported by Ministry of Industry and Commerce Sri Lanka, Export Development Board (EDB), Industrial Development Board (IDB) and the Rubber Research Institute of Sri Lanka.
Enterprising Fairs India Limited, a B2B exhibition company from India, has collaborated with the Plastics and Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL), to conduct their second edition of Sri Lanka Plast – a Plastics Expo and the first edition of Rubexpo – a Rubber Expo on 14, 15 and 16 August 2014 at BMICH, Colombo.
