The EDB’s endeavour of promoting women in exports took a new turn when it established a dedicated Women-Entrepreneur Call in 2017. Over 800 women entrepreneurs across the country are registered with the Women-Entrepreneur Call of the EDB and either export directly or contribute to the supply chain of exports.

The Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM) and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs entered into a two-year agreement to foster collaboration in the ICT industry. The newly-appointed Norwegian Ambassador to Sri Lanka Trine Jøranli Eskedal and SLASSCOM Chairman Ranil Rajapakse signed the agreement.

The course duration was 10 days including a one-day study tour.
