EXPO Japan 2025

EXPO Japan 2025, officially known as the World Expo 2025, will be held in Osaka, Japan, from April 13 to October 13, 2025. This global event will be the 20th World Expo and the first to be hosted by Japan in over 50 years, following the 1970 Expo in Osaka. The theme for Expo 2025 is "Designing Future Society for Our Lives", focusing on three main sub-themes:
- Saving Lives – Addressing issues related to health and longevity, promoting medical advances, and sustainability in the field of life sciences.
- Empowering Lives – Exploring how technology, innovation, and education can improve human potential and quality of life.
- Connecting Lives – Promoting collaboration across borders, fostering inclusivity, and bridging cultural and technological divides.
The event will feature pavilions from countries around the world, offering an immersive experience showcasing cutting-edge technology, culture, sustainability initiatives, and global solutions. Expo 2025 will take place at the Expo 2025 Site on Yumeshima Island in Osaka Bay, a space specially developed for this international exhibition.
The aim of the expo is to inspire visitors, stimulate creativity, and promote the exchange of ideas that can tackle the most pressing challenges faced by societies around the world, all while showcasing Japan’s innovation, design, and technological advances.
