Pure Ceylon Cinnamon logo is the premier trademark for the finest Ceylon Cinnamon that is entrusted to the world. The ‘Pure Ceylon Cinnamon’ certification mark can be used only on consumer cinnamon packs/value-added products(Cinnamon in packets, bags, cartons, canisters tablets, pills, oils, oleoresins & extracts, fractionates, powder, paste, or in any other form of value-added retail packs and packaged) containing Pure Ceylon Cinnamon manufactured in Sri Lanka.
The 'Pure Ceylon Cinnamon' Logo is owned by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) and is globally trademarked. The Pure Ceylon Cinnamon "Certification Mark" can be used only on Value Added Cinnamon Packs containing 100% Pure Ceylon Cinnamon manufactured in Sri Lanka. Those who wish to use the Pure Ceylon Cinnamon Certification Mark on their products should obtain a licence from the EDB.
The EDB Sri Lanka is authorised to issue a licence for Pure Ceylon Cinnamon (PCC) Certification Mark under the approval granted by the Cabinet of Ministers for the EDB Sri Lanka to hold the ownership/ custodianship of the name "Ceylon Cinnamon" on behalf of the people of Sri Lanka and registration of it as a Certification Mark under the provision of the intellectual property Act No. 36 of 2003 bearing Certification Mark No: 163008.
Applicants who wish to obtain the above licence should forward a duly completed application, in complying with the stipulated guidelines. Application and guidelines could be obtained from the Export Agriculture Division of the EDB (6th Floor) or downloaded from the EDB website
