NES Management Unit
A NES Management Unit (NESMU) was established to coordinate and monitor the implementation of the NES. Established under the Ministry of Industrial Exports and Investment Promotion (MIEIP), the NESMU reports to the Secretary of the ministry. A list of broad functions undertaken by the NESMU are outlined below.
- Working closely with relevant Focal Points, Private Sector and Development Partners to ensure coordination in the implementation of the NES.
- Track and Monitor the progress of NES implementation
- Compile an annual Progress Report.
- Support the development and submission of annual National Budget proposals relevant for NES implementation; supporting the development of project proposals for submission to development partners.
- Provide awareness of NES through communication and outreach activities
- Support training and capacity building activities for the efficient implementation of NES.
