Ceylon Sapphire is the geographical indication provided to all the sapphires mined from Sri Lanka, one of the largest and the oldest sources of sapphire to the global market. Sapphires from Sri Lanka are found in various colours and sizes, with the exception of the colour indigo. Vivid, saturated, and durable, Ceylon sapphires are available in a large variety of colours, sizes and types including the rare Padparadscha sapphire, Blue Sapphire, star sapphires and fancy coloured sapphires. Some of the largest and the most expensive sapphires in the world have been found from Sri Lanka.
