Scheme for Registration of Exporters (Regulation) of the EDB has been Revoked by the Extra Ordinary Gazette Notification No. 2118/60 - dated April 11, 2019
Purpose of this new Gazette is to facilitate exporters to expedite the export process by reducing multiple registrations in different Institutions and improve the position of Sri Lanka in the Ease Of Doing Business (EODB) Index Ranking.
However, as decided by the Management, EDB maintains a “Voluntary Registration” at Trade Facilitation and Trade Information Division and this is purely for the “Internal” purposes (identification, monitoring, Trade fair participation, other EDB Assistance Programmes, etc.) only based on the recommendation of the relevant Director of the EDB

The exporters should fill the specific form to register for the Directory of Sri Lankan Exporters and forward to the Trade Facilitation and Trade Information Division. Annual update of information could be done using the same form.
