In September 1986, we established a local subsidiary, USUI LANKA (PVT) LTD., in Sri Lanka. At the factory, all of the work processes for making brushes from the basic materials (wooden shafts, metal fittings, and raw hair (pre-haired)) are carried out. There are various large and small buildings on the site of about 12,000 square meters, and there are currently 262 employees working there.
Local young people are hired, and after completing training, they are assigned as worker → subleader → leader → assistant supervisor → supervisor (the highest rank in the section) Works at every stage of the department. In addition, there is a training system at a Japanese factory as an education unique to the Uranika. The people who participated in this training in the past now support the factory as on-site managers. It creates many employment opportunities for local youth and contributes to the economy of Sri Lanka.
