SOLAS MARINE LANKA (PVT) LTD. is a shipbuilding company registered with Board of Investment of Sri Lanka. Incorporated in 1979 as “Blue Star Marine Ltd.” the Yard was taken over by the Solas Marine Group in 2008. The Yard has designed, manufactured and supplied over 25,000 Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) boats of varied designs and sizes. The range includes Pleasure crafts, Work boats, Fishing vessels, Surveillance and attack vessels for Army, Navy, Coast Guard and Police and other Law Enforcement Agencies, Rescue boats and Ambulance boats. Located at Wattala, near the Port of Colombo, situated on the bank of the Hamilton Canal the Yard has direct water access to the Indian Ocean with sea trailing and delivering facilities.
