Established in 1999, SLIIT is an institute recognized by the University Grants Commission – Sri Lanka, the apex body of the Country’s university system. Partnership with several foreign universities has also enabled SLIIT to offer students the option of graduating with globally accepted foreign university degrees. The institute is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), and International Association of Universities (IAU). SLIIT became the first and the only UGC approved degree in IT to be accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), a professional body in the UK for the Engineering and Technological community.
Currently SLIIT offer Bachelor’s, Master’s, MPhil and PhD degree programmes in the fields of Computing, Business, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying and Hospitality Management.
