Sri Lanka is a preferred destination for manufacturing and marketing of lead terminals for aluminium electrolytic capacitors, components for optical communication, and precision components using quartz glass materials and capacitors. The most static converter and capacitor manufacturing plants in the country are investments of major manufacturers of renowned brands internationally, including Japanese investments. The technology, machinery and the knowhow brought in by the investors and the mother brands provide the components and products the distinct advantage of world class quality. Production of film capacitors for noise suppression and spark quenchers, which is a protective device for electrical systems, and coil filters, amongst a range of products, are a selected few manufactured particularly for the export market.
