EDB Act

Sri Lanka Export Development Act no. 40 of 1979 was established with powers necessary for the promotion and development of exports in Sri Lanka and to provide for matters connected or incidental there to in terms of the section 12 of the Act.

The Export Development Council of Ministers shall be responsible for formulation and implementation of national export development policies and programmes subject to any general or special directions given by the Cabinet of Ministers.
